Dr. Angela Brown
Professional Learning Manager
Dr. Angela A. Brown serves as the Professional Learning Manager for the Center for Strategic Leadership and Organizational Coherence, (CSL) where her primary goal is to develop and nurture collaborative relationships and skills that will generate a pipeline of highly effective schools and district candidates to serve in traditionally underserved schools.

To CSL, Angela brings 31 years of experience in impacting the lives of children through the world of education and adult learning which includes: five years as an Instructional Leadership Director in a Title I school district, 16 years as a school principal in both the elementary and secondary school settings, three years as an assistant principal, and 7 years as a classroom teacher.
​
Angela is noted as a school turnaround specialist in West Tennessee. As a school principal, she led schools to earn the National Blue Ribbon of School Excellence Award for consecutive academic achievement, the Educator’s Consumers Foundation Value-Added Award for the highest TVAAS gains in the state of Tennessee, and led the schools to earn Reward School status from the state of Tennessee within 3 years. Recently, retired as an instructional leadership director, Angela developed and supported school principals to reform and transform state-identified high-priority schools.
Angela earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, a Master’s Degree of Science in Education, and a Doctor of Education Degree in Leadership and Policy Studies all from the University of Memphis.
