Tamika Jackson

CSL Improvement Specialist

Tamika Jackson an Improvement Specialist at The Center for Strategic Leadership and Organizational Coherence. She has spent the last several years serving as Director of the School of New Hope Christian Academy, an urban, college-preparatory elementary school that provides students with a challenging, intellectual, and Christ-centered education. Jackson has over 20 years of experience as a results-oriented, and effective educator with exemplary leadership and professional development skills. Jackson has led all aspects of school life including coordinating administrative oversight, planning all phases of instructional leadership, developing, and implementing strategic plans, and marketing school programs.

Prior to Jackson’s time as a school director, Jackson served as the principal of Vollentine Optional Elementary School. Jackson’s efforts in developing improvement strategies with the high-priority school resulted in the school being named a reward school for ranking among the top five percent of Tennessee schools. Jackson’s abilities to focus on task-oriented actions and to attack issues with a problem-solving mentality have led to measurable results and using analytical and conceptual thinking to simplify complex problems.

Jackson has served in various roles in both public and private school settings. She is a member of various local and national professional organizations. Jackson is a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Freed Hardeman University where she holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services Management, a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, and an Educational Specialist degree in School Administration. Other noteworthy experiences include the Harvard School of Education Aspiring Leaders and Memphis City School Executive Leadership Program.

Jackson collaborates with several community partners including Christian Brothers University, Rhodes College Teacher Preparation Program, Teach 901, and Visible Music School. Jackson’s passion is servant leadership. One goal that she hopes to attain is helping others grow and develop to perform at their highest level possible. Jackson enjoys coaching, training, and development to produce successful outcomes. Jackson has been happily married to her soulmate Reggie for 16 years and is the proud mother of two boys- Cameron and Braylon.
